In accordance with the permission given by Your Excellency and in continuation of my letters of the 4th of June and 27th of September on questions arising out of the operation of the Marriage Ordinance 1875, I have now the honour to submit for consideration a formal application on behalf of the Roman Catholic Church in Hongkong for the repeal of that Ordinance.
